CPU and GPU searches

GPU mode uses WebGPU on supported devices. Performance depends on the device, driver, browser, address format and pattern. More processing can increase electricity use, heat and battery consumption. No performance equivalent to a native application is promised.

The service and its operator

Vanito is operated under the public name Vanito by an independent developer based in Brussels, Belgium. Questions about these terms can be sent to contact@vanito.org.

Vanito is a free browser utility for generating vanity addresses on supported blockchains. It is not a custodial wallet, exchange, broker, payment service or key-recovery service. It does not hold funds, broadcast transactions, access wallets or check balances.

Using Vanito

Use the service only where lawful and when you have the legal capacity to do so. If you are a minor, involve a parent or guardian and follow the rules applicable where you live. By choosing to use the generator, you agree to these terms to the extent permitted by applicable law. Reading the privacy policy is not consent to unrelated data processing.

No account, purchase or subscription is required. You may stop a search at any time. Your own internet, electricity, hardware and any later blockchain transaction costs remain your responsibility.

Your keys and your responsibility

Searches run on your device and start from cryptographically generated randomness. Only one matching result is disclosed from any search batch. The website does not receive your private key, address, public key, pattern or redeem script. No backup or recovery service is provided.

Save the private key securely before clearing or leaving the page. Never share it with support or anyone else. Anyone who obtains it may spend funds controlled by that key. Browser extensions, malware, clipboard history, screenshots and other people with access to your device can expose it.

Check the blockchain, address format and wallet compatibility before use. WIF alone does not identify the intended blockchain or script. Script addresses require compatible wallet support and preservation of the redeem script. Preview illustrations are not receiving addresses. Similar-looking addresses on different networks are not interchangeable.

Limitations and availability

Generation is probabilistic. No result, completion time, throughput, uniqueness beyond the underlying cryptographic assumptions, future compatibility or uninterrupted availability is promised. Extra threads increase processor, memory and battery use. Browser-reported thread counts may be limited for privacy reasons.

Vanito has not received an independent security audit. Reasonable checks cannot eliminate all software defects, compromised hosting, device risks or future cryptographic weaknesses. The service may be maintained, changed or suspended, including where needed for security. None of these statements limits obligations that the law does not allow us to exclude.

Acceptable use

Use the service for addresses that you generate and control. Do not use it to access another person’s wallet, steal keys or funds, deceive recipients, impersonate a third party, distribute malware, overload the service or falsify its statistics.

Do not bypass access restrictions or interfere with other visitors. Responsible reports of a suspected defect are welcome at the contact address. Do not include live private keys or confidential wallet material in a report.

The public counter

The displayed service total counts successful-generation reports sent by browsers, starting from the deployment of the counter. A report contains a temporary token, not an address or key. Replayed reports are deduplicated.

The counter is an informational, best-effort total. It is not a blockchain record, audited usage figure, count of funded wallets, or proof that a result was saved or remains secure. Blocked requests, offline use, disabled statistics, abuse or service interruptions can affect it.

No financial advice or affiliation

The site offers a technical utility, not investment, financial, tax or legal advice. It does not recommend buying or holding any asset or guarantee the value or safety of a blockchain.

Network names and logos identify supported projects. Their display does not imply sponsorship, endorsement or a partnership. External links, wallets and services have their own terms and privacy practices.

Software and intellectual property

The distributed Vanito source code is provided under the MIT licence included with the package. Third-party software and artwork retain their respective licences and rights. The software licence does not grant rights in third-party trademarks.

These website terms do not take away rights expressly granted by an applicable open-source licence. The full source licence and third-party notices are included in the downloadable source package.

Liability and mandatory rights

To the extent allowed by applicable law, the service is provided without a contractual promise of a particular outcome, and the operator is not liable for losses caused by circumstances outside its reasonable control, incorrect network selection, incompatible wallet imports or loss or disclosure of a key attributable to the user or third parties.

No provision excludes or limits liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury where applicable, or any liability or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded. We do not require you to waive statutory remedies or indemnify us for our own wrongdoing.

Law, disputes and changes

Belgian law governs these terms, subject to any mandatory protections available under the law applicable to you. Mandatory rules determining the courts in which a consumer can bring a claim remain unaffected. Please first contact contact@vanito.org so that we can try to resolve a concern.

The version date identifies the current terms. Material changes apply prospectively, subject to applicable law. A revised policy does not retroactively authorise incompatible processing of personal data. If one provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply where legally possible.
